Human Rights Watch (HRW) has released a statement about the situation in Burundi. The humanitarian organization explains how human rights abuses are taking place on both sides of the conflict within the country.
Government and Opposition forces are both committing actions that could be viewed as violations of human rights in addition to spreading violence and fear throughout the nation.
HRW urges the United Nations Human Rights Council to keep the deteriorating situation within Burundi as a priority at the top of its agenda.
